The Learning Enrichment Foundation is committed to providing a working environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Each individual has the right to work in a professional atmosphere, which promotes equal opportunities and prohibits discriminatory practices. To ensure the Child Care Centre is a safe place for children, staff and families it is imperative parents abide by the code of conduct set forth by The Learning Enrichment Foundation:
- There will be no smoking or drinking of alcohol inside or outside the Child Care Centres; this includes playground, and parking lot
- Staff members are to be treated in a respectful manner, no yelling, threatening or swearing permitted
- Discriminatory or racist incidents will not be tolerated. Individuals will not be discriminated against their race, cultural background, sexual orientation, and/or family dynamics
- Sexual Harassment will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to, a reprisal or a threat of reprisal for the rejection of a sexual solicitation, sexist jokes, the display of sexually offensive material, verbal abuse or threats of a sexual nature
- Weapons are not permitted on the premise. Use of any items to physically harm or threaten staff, other parents or children will not be tolerated. Toronto Police Services will be called immediately
The above information is considered a very serious offence, which will result in your child being withdrawn from the program, or a parent banned from the program. These incidents are taken very seriously and will be reported to the Senior Director, Executive Director and Board of Directors at The Learning Enrichment Foundation; Toronto Children Services and the Ministry of Education. In the event a staff feels they are in immediate danger Toronto Police Services will be called.
